Bluegrass Internal Medicine is a physician owned entity and dedicated to delivering quality care. Our privately owned practice provides comprehensive medical care to adult patients in the Greater Owensboro Area. Our founding physicians collectively have more than 70 years of medical care experience and all are Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Bluegrass Internal Medicine was founded in 2001 by Dr. Angela Jarvis, she was joined by Dr. David Johnson in 2002. The next year, 2004 saw the addition of Dr. Patrick Gipe. Dr. Matheis Carrico and Physicians’ Assistant Tammy Norcia joined the practice in 2005. In 2010, the above founding physicians had the vision of a new primary care clinic, equipped with a state of the art laboratory, x-ray and ultrasound suites. Bluegrass Internal Medicine opted to build in the region of the upcoming Highway 54 area in Owensboro. All of the founding members: Dr. Anglea Jarvis, Dr. David Johnson, Dr. Patrick Gipe and Dr. Matheis Carrico are graduates from the University of Kentucky School of Medicine. Dr. Ramez Salamah joined Bluegrass Internal Medicine in August of 2013. Leslie Phelps, APRN joined our practice in 2015. Our latest addition to our growing practice is Dr. Steven Roby, a graduate of the University of Louisville Medical School; Dr. Roby, who is a native of Daviess County, joined our practice in 2017.
