In today's evolving healthcare landscape, where the words "Quality" and "Cost" carry significant weight, it is imperative to consider the contrasting paradigms of locally owned private practices versus large healthcare corporations. Across the nation and within our tristate region, an increasing number of physicians are affiliating with large healthcare systems. Regrettably, this consolidation has been linked to elevated healthcare expenses without a commensurate enhancement in the quality of care. In some instances, these mergers have even led to subpar outcomes and a decline in the overall quality of healthcare services.
In contrast, at Bluegrass Internal Medicine, we proudly embrace the independent practice model. This approach empowers us to remain agile and responsive to the unique needs of individual patients. Our dedication to a patient-centric approach is unwavering, as we are not influenced by intermediaries. Here, only the physicians hold sway, and we are answerable solely to you, the patient. The hallmark of our service is customer satisfaction. In this context, our commitment to quality and cost-effectiveness has been unequivocally demonstrated in both our Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) and numerous shared savings programs with insurance companies.
Furthermore, our ability to provide diagnostic studies on-site at Professional Park Diagnostics significantly contributes to cost containment. These diagnostic services are offered at a fraction of the cost when compared to regional hospitals. Importantly, the quality and accuracy of these studies remain uncompromised, as they are performed using state-of-the-art equipment and interpreted by board-certified radiologists.
At Bluegrass Internal Medicine, we take pride in our commitment to the local community. All of our providers, with the exception of Dr. Salamah, are natives of Owensboro, and Dr. Salamah himself has been a steadfast presence in the community for over 25 years. Our mission is to become your primary care provider for life, where you are not just another customer in a sprawling healthcare system. Opting for our private practice over large healthcare corporations is, in essence, a "no brainer."
The benefits of choosing our private practice are numerous and compelling. We offer in-house diagnostics through Professional Park Diagnostics, delivering not only cost savings but also the convenience of prompt and comprehensive care. Our practice is characterized by physician-led care, ensuring that you are always under the direct supervision of a qualified medical professional. We go the extra mile by offering unique services such as Chronic Care Management (CCM), Annual Wellness Visits (AWV), telemedicine for select appointments, urgent visits, and a walk-in clinic.
In conclusion, our locally owned and physician-led private practice, underpinned by a commitment to quality, cost-effectiveness, and a deep connection to the community, represents a compelling alternative to the large healthcare corporations. We are dedicated to delivering unparalleled care that prioritizes your well-being and long-term health.
